What Memories do Thanksgiving Bring You?





When you think of Thanksgiving, what comes to mind? Is it the turkey you will eat? Or the get together you certainly don’t want to be a part of but have no choice?
Whether you look forward or dread the day, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the year.

What has your year been like?
I’m sure when you began the year you had several plans and goals.
Did you accomplish any of them?

We can choose to look at all the negatives that happened and miss the gems we experienced over the year.
Today I want you to focus on what you can be thankful for.

Your Health
If you had some health challenges and were able to overcome them, -be thankful.

The more thankful you are, the healthier you become emotionally and physically.

Have you experienced a blessing in your family? Did you celebrate a wedding, a new baby or graduation ceremony?
My husband got his Doctorate Degree, and I am thankful for that. People address him as Doctor, but don’t let him remove your appendix.

How far did you go about your nursing career this year?
Did you complete your course? Did you graduate this year? Were you promoted? What awards did you win?

Write a letter or send a card today to someone and be thankful to them.
Sometimes people do so much for us, and we don’t remember to thank them.
Have you written or sent out enough gratitude cards this year?


One thing that you can begin to do today is to have a gratitude journal.
Write down the things you are grateful for, so you don’t forget your blessings.
As we observe Thanksgiving Day, let us also consider our national blessings.
Stop and reflect on how we in America have so much.
In the midst of the challenges, there is still so much we can be grateful for.
