A Healthy Salad For Busy Caregivers.

Cilantro

Cilantro Salad is a healthy salad that only takes a few minutes to make.

On those days when you have limited time and want something fast and healthy, making cilantro salad would serve that purpose.
Cilantro is a herb, also known as Coriandrum Sativum.

 

Coriander is the seed of the cilantro plant.
According to the National Nutrition Database, cilantro is rich in thiamine, zinc, vitamins A, C, E and K.
The herb is also a good source of minerals like potassium, calcium, iron and magnesium.

INGREDIENTS:

A bunch of cilantro
3 medium Tomatoes
1 onion
½ lemon
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
Salt
Pepper, red or black

Ingredients

 

PREPARATION:

• Cut washed cilantro herb 1 cm long and place in bowl.
• Cut tomatoes Into 2 cm squares and place in bowl.
• Cut onion into ½ cm squares and place in bowl.
• Add a pinch of pepper to taste
• Add salt to taste and 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
• Finally add ½ a lemon and toss all ingredients lightly until combined.

Serve on plate at room temperature and enjoy.

 
Tip

You can refrigerate the salad and to carry it to work on the next day for lunch.
Healthy salads are good for nurses who are always busy at work.
